Note | Additional Notes: =============== Reasons for believing this Thomas is Richard's son and was born in 1769: In the 1841 census, we have only one Thomas living in Flamborough born prior to 1800. He is listed as aged 70, living with a Robert Warcup (aged 15). We know that Thomas & Susannah had a son called Robert of the correct age fron Robert's christening record. Robert survived past 1841 as he was having children in 1842 - see below . We therefore know Thomas who married Susannah was alive in 1841. We have a death certificate of a Thomas Warcup (aged 81) who died in 1850. This gives Thomas a birth-date of 1769. It also means that the Thomas who was alive in 1850 must have been alive in the 1841 census. As we have only one Thomas in Flamborough at that time, they must be the same people. We therefore know Thomas who married Susannah was born in 1769, and died 1850. We have a christening record of Thomas Warcup 05 Mar 1769, born of Richard. We therefore know Thomas who married Susannah was born in 1769, and died 1850, was the son of Richard Warcup. |
