Note | 1) Birth-date: - approx from 1881 census - see below Christening: - from original source at Beverley Archives - see below 2) Profession: - from 1881 census - see below 4) Mother: - from 1851 census - see below 5) Children: - from 1881 census - see below Additional Notes: =============== The christening record for thomas gives his parents as Thomas & Sarah Nordass. However, Thomas is listed as the son of Thomas & Elizabeth in the 1851 census, and Thomas was married to Elizabeth in 1842. We believe the christening record should have the parents as Thomas & Elizabeth. In 1851 census, we have Thomas Nordass (aged 53) living in Beeford with his wife Elizabeth (aged 40) and their son : Thomas (aged 8) - see below In 1881 census, we have George Stork (aged 68) living in Flamborough with his son George Leng (aged 24). (We do not know who the mother is, George Leng becomes George Leng Stork in subsequent census years). Also in the house is his niece Mary Jane Nordass (aged 38), her husband Thomas Nordass (aged 38) and their children : George W (aged 18), Henry (aged 13), John (aged 10) and Elizabeth E (aged 5) - see below LINKS: <A HREF="archives/Beeford - PE1147-1842.html#1842-10-30-Thomas">Beeford Baptism Record <A HREF="1851census/1851 Census - H0107 - 2366 - Folio 13 - Page 18.htm#Nordass-Thomas2">1851 census <A HREF="1881census/1881 Census - RG11 - Piece 4799 - Folio 110 - Page 17.htm">1881 census |
