Lois is the only Cooper in the batch born in Hornsea who is not the son of Richard. The previous entries in the batch for 'cook' are all for a father 'William'. It is therefore assumed to be a typing error. In 1861 census we have Lois (aged 34) living in Sculcoates with children: Charles Richard (aged 13), Lois Elizabeth (aged 10), Kate (aged 8), Thomas William (aged 5) and Ann Emma (aged 1). In 1871 census we have Lois (aged 44) living in Sculcoates with children: Kate (aged 18), Wakter J (aged 7), Cora C (aged 5), Juliam M (aged 3) and Robert B (aged 1). In 1881 census we have Robert Bell (aged 52) living in Beverley with his wife Lois (aged 53) and their children Kate (aged 27) and Robert B (aged 11).
