Flamborough Church

There are two churchyards at Flamborough, the original churchyard and an extension. For each of these we took photos of every gravestone. We then attempted to find the associated person on our family tree. The churchyards have been mapped and for every identified individual there are photos of the stones (clickable on the maps) and a link back to the person on the tree via the names in the table on the pages below :

  • Flamborough Churchyard
  • Flamborough Churchyard Extension
  • Census Records

As a consequence of trying to identify if all the people in Flamborough are in fact related, we did a lot of digging into the early census records (mainly 1851 and 1861). You can see each page of these census records transcribed below. Anyone that was found on the tree is coloured, with an entry in the table on each page linking back to the person on the tree :

  • Flamborough 1841 Census
  • Flamborough 1851 Census
  • Flamborough 1861 Census
  • Parish Records

In addition to the census records, we have transcribed almost all the parish baptisms, marriages and burials for Flamborough from scanned images of the originals. Where we have identified these people on the tree there is similarly a link in the table to the person on the tree :

  • Flamborough Parish Baptisms
  • Flamborough Parish Marriages
  • Flamborough Parish Burials
