Also in the house are Margaret (aged 33), Annie (aged 31) and Walter (aged 25) - see below Reference found for Riverside Memorial Cemetery, Megantic, Quebec : Warcup, William b 07 May 1813, d 9 Oct 1885, stone with & husband of Mary Allan (native of Yorkshire, England) Reasons to believe that this William Warcup b1813 is the son of William & Anne Warcup: 1) William Warcup b1813 was living in the same town as the other Warcup family in Leeds. All the other Warcups were descended from William & Anne Warcup. 2) William & Anne Warcup do not have another son called William, and traditionally the eldest son is named after the father. Neither reason is conclusive, so this is going to be (hopefully) confirmed by checking the Borthwick Institute records. This William has been linked to his parents as we believe they should be connected, and it makes tree viewing / research easier until this is definitely confirmed. ** Update July 2007 - we have found the records of the baptisms of all of William & Anne's children, including this William ** LINKS: Appleton-le-Street Baptism Record Parish marriage record 1881 census Parish burial record |
