We do not believe that this William died in 1788. We have found a record of a William who died and was buried 06-Nov-1788, but given that John and Catherine has several more sons, it is unlikely that they did not call a future son William after John's father.

We have also removed from the tree, the William b 1794 that was submitted by a member of the LDS Church. Having gone through all the original parish records, there was a William b 1794, but he was the grandson of John and Catherine, not the son.

We have learned over the last few years that IGI is only a guide, and any information submitted by a member, which is not form the parish records, must be treated with caution.
